The Sun Will Come Out Tomorrow, Right?

I've been spoiled. We have had a very mild winter, until recently. I grew much to accustomed to seeing the sun at least once if not twice a week. However, Seattle has recently let go of all the rain it was holding on to. Which has left me booking tickets to Arizona to visit the lovely Calvert family :) I guess it's not a bad trade off.
In the meantime, I've attempted to cultivate a little bit of Spring.

 The crocus actually opened, once three weeks ago. Since then they have remained decidedly closed.

We had our Relief Society Activity and I was put in charge of food, as always. I went for something festive, we were having an art appreciation night, so I figured I better try and make the food fit. Lemon Curd Cupcakes, delicious. 

 These were the rejects, ran out of lemon curd. 

 This cake was my real goal for the evening. I thought it would be the perfect Pop Art tribute! A Snickers Candy Bar Cake. I have to say, I was impressed with myself.

And how could I resist this!? Adorable. Boy clothes are so much better than girl stuff. None of the dresses were this cute. I'm sure it won't be his size when next spring actually rolls around, but he'll look adorable even if it is December.
